CoBank Center for Agricultural Education
The CoBank Center for Agricultural Education is a premier teaching facility designed to prepare future instructors and FFA advisors for a successful career in teaching secondary agricultural education.
History:
The Center opened it’s doors for education on September 26th, 2015 after three years of fundraising primarily by the Colorado FFA Foundation. The $3.3 million project was funded by over 150 donors that believed in agricultural education and the Colorado FFA Association. The largest donors to the project were CoBank, American AgCredit, Farm Credit of Southern Colorado, Premier Farm Credit, and Colorado State University. Donors were a mix of public, corporate, non-profit, and individual families.

The 14,000 sq. ft. Center features the public home of the Farm Credit Colorado Agriculture Hall of Fame (Colorado FFA Foundation is the custodian of the Hall of Fame), the Blue Jacket Society, three classrooms, a conference room, offices, and a 4000 sq. ft. power lab teaching facility.
Located on CSU’s ARDEC research facility, the primary function of the Center is to prepare pre-service teachers (CSU students) by providing a state of the art facility to practice teaching through hands-on activities and lab space. Students also use the research facility to gains hands on production agricultural experience with livestock, irrigation, and cropping systems.
The CoBank Center also hosts over 100 agricultural meetings and events per year for agricultural groups, the University, and supporters of agricultural education in Colorado.
